Created in homage to third spaces, where community building happens through interaction and conversation. This blend is an invitation to support those places of gathering, and to create the spaces you want to see exist.

Components of the blend are two coffees from the Black Producers Program, an initiative of BD Imports and Apará Cafés Especiais. The program’s mission is to bring visibility to Black coffee producers and broaden the bridge to global market access. 

The growers, Neide Peixoto and Joaquim Peixoto grow their coffees in the Campo das Vertentes region, Minas Gerais, Brazil approximately 1100 meters above sea level. This family of former sharecroppers came together to purchase land in 2000, steadily focused on developing their product, and exported their first container of specialty coffee through the Black Producers Program in 2020. Today the family’s youngest generation, including Neide’s daughter Lauriel and Joaquim’s daughter Roseane are active in the family business, contributing to improving coffee quality and integrating regenerative agriculture principles into their approach.
